BACK TO SCHOOL ART JOURNAL PAGE

I wanted to work with bright primary colors that evoke school for my page. I stamped multiple parts of the image so I could make the tools different colors. Then I fussy cut them out.

Next, I positioned them on the primary image and popped some of them up for dimension.

My final step was to hand letter "back to school" around the edges. This could also be used as a large embellishment in a scrapbook.

BACK TO SCHOOL SLIMLINE CARD

My second project is a slimline card using the school supplies.
I stamped part of the image on the envelope, and blended ink over sections of the image.

Here you can see how the image wraps around to the back of the card. I used Scribble Sticks to color the card, then blended with a water brush.

Image wraps around the back of the card...

My final step was to add some splatter using a scribble stick I dipped in water.
This could be sent to your favorite teacher or student at the beginning of the school year.

Two easy peasy projects to get you ready for back to school fun!

Enjoy all the wonderful new products from Simon Says Stamp in the new release, and enjoy all the inspiration at both the Friday and Saturday  hops!
