I ran across the idea for these hearts and just had to try one. They are very easy to make and you already have all the supplies needed. Basically photos, scrapbook paper and a stapler.
I picked out photos of Maura and I at one of her crops, changed them to black and white and made a photo strip sized at 1 1/2" by 7". I cut them out and adhered them to the pink paper.
To make a heart, place them photo sides together and staple at the top. If you want a ribbon loop, now is the time to staple that inside also. However, if you forgot like me, I added mine at the end with tape. No difference.
Now fold the ends around to meet at the end, forming a heart and staple.
You can vary the sizes and make these hearts bigger or smaller just by changing the size of your photo strip. You can easily make these with a square punch and photos you have already printed out just adhering the squares to your backing paper or just use double sided papers to make pretty hearts. You can also add embellishments to make them as fancy or as plain as you want. String a bunch of hearts together to make a cute garland. Use your imagination!
What a great idea, Sheila! SO simple, but fun! and what fun to see those pictures of you and I in the heart! I can see making multiples of the hearts, hanging them with pretty ribbons at different lengths, perhaps in a window....
