Hello Monday, my friends! Welcome back to another fun challenge at Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge. This week, we are embracing all things SPOOKY!! Just in time for some final Halloween creations or other spooky goodies. This will be fun, so come join us!
THE WICKED BAT CATCHER
Yes, she may appear a lovely and innocent witch (awesome stamps by Andrea Ockey Parr), even with her green skin and hair, but beware! All is NOT as it seems. She is out under the Blood-Orange Moon looking for bats to catch in her bat cage, and it looks like she has snagged one. Oh yes, something wicked this way comes!
I started with a mini Etcetera Tag, and lightly painted it.
Next, I stenciled the skull onto the tag.
Stamped a pattern...
Stamped and colored my images with Tombow markers and a water brush. Then, I cut them out to use on the tag.
I laid everything out, and decided to increase the spookiness with some cheesecloth (or as Tim Holtz calls it, Mummy Cloth) and tacked it down with glue.
I added details with the moon, date dial, transparent numbers and chip quote.
The infusions take the spookiness up a notch, turning my moon a blood orange.
details...
I found this wire in my stash, and had an aha moment with it as I turned it into a bat catcher.
Spooky... I just had to throw this song by Atlanta Rhythm Section in here as I started singing it, enjoy!
Something wicked and spooky!
NOW, it is your turn to create something SPOOKY! I hope you have enjoyed my inspiration and are ready to join us in the fun this week. One participant is drawn at random for a $50 shopping voucher from our generous friends at Simon Says Stamp!
