 Hello Monday, my friends! And welcome to another week on the Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge. Thank you for joining us for the  HAPPY BIRTHDAY  Challenge and we hope you will all join us again this week too.

This week the challenge is: FUNNY PUNNY

I saw this stamp after a visit to the dentist, and knew it was perfect for this week.

WE ALL NEED A CROWN, RIGHT? PERSONALLY, I LIKE THE ONES I CAN PUT ON MY HEAD, LOL! 

A mix of bright colors to start things off...

Next up, a layer of stamped marks... 

Whitewashing works well to pull the elements together. 

I stamped and cut this fun saying from Funny Bones. They really have so many quotes that make me laugh. 

Crowns need gems, so I added a clear dazzling gem to the center of the crown. 

Final step was to wrap a bit of pink and black twine around the ATC. 

Yes, we court all use a beautiful crown!

This week the challenge is: ADD SOME TEXT

So, what would you think if you were a cat and a giant bird swooped down to take the butterfly off your head? 

I’ve kept things a little simpler this week because I’ve had another loss in my vision. I’m kind of feeling like that cat facing the giant bird and calling out holy shiitake!

I layered the ATC with some Dina Waklye paper, stamped my bird onto more of the sheet, and stamped the worlds on a bit more.

Can you imagine the cat's reaction to seeing the big bird arriving? I think I might say these exact words myself!

Fun With Paint

 

 Hello Monday, my friends! And welcome to another week on the Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge. Thank you for joining us for the  STARS AND STRIPES  Challenge and we hope you will all join us again this week too.

This week the challenge is: FUN WITH PAINT

Let's mix watercolor and acrylic paints with these ATC's. 

I began with a blend of warm watercolors.

Next, I laid a sheet of bubblewrap over it and let it dry. 

I love the circle circular design it leavercular

On the second ATC, I added cool watercolors. 

I scrunched up a plastic bag and laid it over this one. I think I was too impatient in lifting it, and didn't get much of a design. 

So...I decided to stamp the crinkled bag and stamp it over the paper. 

...adding some white splatter... 

Meanwhile, I stamped my birds onto painted text papers (acrylic paints), then added some metallic flakes. I also added some highlights with a white pen.

And here we have...
