This week the challenge is: SPOOKY/ADD SOME PURPLE

PHANTOM PALACE 

I created a background for the card by smooshing yellow and purple inks onto watercolor paper. 

 I die cut the Phantom Palace and added all sorts of goodies to it, from a skull with a creepy eye...

to some haunting ghosts.. 

to a curious cat... 

purple bats... 

eyeball flowers and pumpkins ... 

Instead of a card, you can turn this into a home decor 3D piece to display. 

Or add the 3D piece to your ink smooshed background, so it looks like the lights are shining through. 

Whatever you choose to do, have FUN, and HAPPY HALLOWEEN!

This week the challenge is: SPOOKY!

LET THE GOURD TIMES ROLL! 

I had a lot of fun playing with Halloween dies to create my spooky scene. I wanted to make the pumpkin spookier, so added some stitches to it, a la Frankenstein. 

 Card inside - I used Simon Says Stamps Just Batty set for the inside and envelope...a black cat is a perfect Halloween image, don't you think?

My first mummy image didn't come out clearly, so I stamped it again on yellow and fussy cut it, then glues it onto the envelope. 

Card and envelope are ready for the spooky season. 

For a fun touch, I added Tim Holtz Glow Grit Paste to the pumpkin's eyes. 

Yes! It glows in the dark!

Take Flight

 

 Hello Monday, my friends! And welcome to another week on the Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge. Thank you for joining us for the  Stamp It/STAMPtember Challenge and we hope you will all join us again this week too.

This week the challenge is: TAKE FLIGHT

Mischievous Kitty is out in the pumpkin patch basking in the light of the full moon. Suddenly she sees a flock..swarm...oh, yes! Colony! of bats fly across the Moon. It's going to be a wild night in the pumpkin patch tonight! 

I wanted to create a layered background, so I began with Simon's Old Letter stamp. 

 Next up, some lovely ink smooshing...

And then, it's just a matter of adding the selection of die cuts in the perfect spot. 

The bats are taking flight! 

Mischievous Kitty is watching from her pumpkin perch. 

 I thought I was done, then remembered STAMPtember and decided I needed to do a bit more stamping.

I added a bit of shadow under the pumpkin, and some stitches. 

 Take Flight!
