Spritz and Splatter

 

 Hello Monday, my friends! And welcome to another week on the Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge. Thank you for joining us for the  ADD SOME TEXTURE  Challenge and we hope you will all join us again this week too.

This week the challenge is: SPRITZ AND SPLATTER

It's the perfect time to make a few valentines and why not have some fun with some spritz and splatter on them? Wishing you all a happy Valentine's Day! 

I began by choosing some papers out of Dino Wakeley's collage collection of papers and cut the one larger sheet into card size backgrounds. 

Then I stamped part of the large heart by simon says stamp onto the card. I love the mix of words that make up this heart. 

Time for some splatter! My first splatter layer is with the new simon says stamp silver splatter. I use the splatter brush by Tim Holtz which gives this nice mix of Little and big spots. 

 Then I added some distress spritz by Tim Holtz, and white splatter from simon says stamp.

Hopefully you can see the mix of splatters and spritzes on this card. 

And here are the four valentine cards that I created with lots of splattering and spritzing.

Valentines with Grafix

Love is in the Air

Hello Monday my friends! Welcome back to this week's challenge at Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge - LOVE IS IN THE AIR. We are showcasing the wonderful array of products from Simon Says Stamp this week, so if you have them, we would love to see them!

LOVE BIRDS

I began my card with a light touch of stenciling...hearts of course!

Next, I layered some lettering over the hearts with a darker pink.

Then, I decided to go a bit grungy and smooshed some brown ink into the card.

I am liking the brown and pink, maybe it is reminding me of chocolates. I glued one heart on, and popped the other. Then I added a tiny black heart on top. I felt like I needed the black heart to balance the words at the bottom of the card. 

I added the love birds using Simon's Doll Pink card stock and set them on some velvet pink ribbon.

I added some pink cardstock to the card's inside, since the base was a darker color.
