Missing my Coffee

Well, finally I took some photos as I worked! I started out by writing coffee, coffee, coffee...all over this piece of watercolor paper with a Molotow masking pen and let that dry.

Next, I took my watercolors and dripped them down the paper.

Then I rubbed off the masking fluid to get this cool design!

Love my freshly brewed coffee, and this Blueprint stamp from Tim Holtz! So, I stamped it onto the card, and used water to remove some of the color from the cup.

Added the "missing you." If my coffee is not around, I do miss it, but this could also be sent to a friend who is missed. I found this old Stampers Anonymous "Saying Stuff" set to use with the word frame.

I am offering blog candy for the hop and you can find the details here.

It has been another wonderful hop, and I want to give a big SHOUT OUT to Amy Tsurata and  Chaitali Narla at Coffee Loving Cardmakers for hosting another fabulous hop!! You gals ROCK!! When this is over, be sure to fill up a big mug and find a spot to sip and relax!

Bag O'Beans

Hello friends, and welcome back. I know you must be enjoying the spring hop and all the creative inspiration everyone is sharing...I certainly am!

I love my coffee fresh ground and always buy beans whenever possible. This Tim Holtz coffee bean sketch stamp reminds me of that. Stamped up a speckled background and stripes with the Gorgeous Grunge set from Stamping Up,  and found this lovely felt flower and leaf from them to add. A bit of watercolor, washi tape, layered it up, and here we go!

Blog candy giveaway, details can be found here.

Planting Mugs

Welcome friends! I am so glad you stopped by while hopping through all the coffee, tea, and cocoa creative goodness. I never imagined there were so many awesome ways to share our love of the brew!

Awhile ago on the Facebook Group we were chatting about our excess of mugs and what we do with them. I had mentioned in my house, whenever we come home with a new mug, my son insists we get rid of two old ones - not a bad thing to do since the cupboards are bursting with mugs, it seems. So the idea we came up with was to repurpose the mugs! I do love the idea of filling the mug with a little plant and giving it away as a gift, so that is what inspired today's card!

I used Tim Holtz's Cuppa Joe sketch stamp and a new release from Simon Says Stamp Reason to Smile collection - Spring Flowers. A bit of watercolor, paint spattering and fussy cutting and my card is done. I think this might be my favorite one I made for the hop!

How are you enjoying the hop? I am always amazed at how much coffee, tea, and cocoa talent there is out there!!

I did a bit of paper piecing with this card, and stamped the cute little coffee pot from
Pretty Cute Stamps - thank you for that win! Tied it all up in some pretty blue hand dyed ribbon, added a bit of bling, and I am ready to brew up a pot right now!

I have some blog candy for the hop! You can read all the details here.

Coffee and Friends

Ah Spring! When will you ever arrive? For now (and likely the next few months!) I can only dream of you. I did hear a chirping bird a couple of days ago :) but it is snowing...again :(

Having a lot of fun with the spring coffee hop! Here is my next one.

This is where I want to be, sitting outside in a little cafe with a friend, enjoying a coffee. I know, I know, it will come!

Watercolored the stamped image from Magenta, stamped the umbrellas on patterned paper, and then stamped the words on it for the background. Word stamp is Hero Arts-19th century French script. Yup, I was thinking of a cafe in Paris, why not!

Giveaway! If you are here for the first time, make a comment before the end of the hop, March 6, and for each comment you leave on my hop posts, your name goes into a random draw for this stamp set. Good Luck!

Inspired by Red Cup: Holiday Coffee Lovers Blog Hop!

I love coffee, and am excited to be joining this hop that is all about beans, after all, what is better than crafting and coffee! I want to send out a huge thank you to Amy Tsurata for organizing this, thank you Amy! Thank you also to the amazing list of super sponsors!!
Sheila got me started on "red cup" season at Starbucks, and now I look forward to this event with some of my favorite beverages every year! So, when I started to think of coffee crafting, Red Cup was my muse. First, I'll give you a glimpse of all the projects I did, and then go into a bit more detail. Hope you are enjoying a cup of java right now!
Cards and cups! I filled these little espresso cups with a yummy chocolate Santa for a gift exchange.
Red and Kraft - who knew they would pair so well? I used the Tim Holtz "Merriment" paper stash for all my projects. The stamps are from Stampin Up. I stamped on several different patterns and cut them apart to layer, popped up a few elements to add dimension. "Coffee and friends are the perfect blend" - love it!
It's fun to see how different a look you can create with the same materials.
I had fun with the little espresso cups too. I made a template to fit the paper around the cup and to make the little hat.
Thanks so much for stopping by! Please feel free to leave a comment to win some blog candy! (If your comment doesn't link to you, leave contact information) Be sure to comment by midnight, Sunday, December 14...a name will be drawn at random to win.....
A $10 gift card from one of my faves, Starbucks! All hop winners will be posted by Dec 20.

Looking for more inspiration from twocraftingsisters? If you click on the "coffee" label on the side, you can see some fun coffee projects Sheila and I have made in the past
